We live in a small village called Woodseaves, which sits on the Shropshire/Staffordshire Border, 5 miles from Newport, Shropshire and 3 miles from Eccleshall, Staffordshire.

We launched our range in July 2008, with one goal, to bring to the marketplace a product created and developed by a Professional Chef that is a truly Homemade Product filled with the finest fresh ingredients & containing No Artificial Ingredients or Preservatives.

So we took the plunge Mike came out of hotel kitchens, converted our utility into a stainless steel prep kitchen, set up storage outside and emptied out our downstairs office for produce storage and set about developing the range.

Mike has worked as a chef since leaving school, he started his career as a Chef at Madeley Court Hotel, Shropshire, starting as a Commis and working hard to become Head Chef, after 8 years at Madeley Court it was time for pastures new and Mike moved to Tillington Hall Hotel in Staffordshire, which prompted our move from Telford, Shropshire to Woodseaves, Staffordshire.

At the hotels where Mike worked he developed Chutneys and flavoured Pickled Onions that were a welcomed addition to the Cheese Trolley at Madeley Court Hotel and accompanied many other dishes, such as Pate Starter to delicious Main Course such as Stuffed Rack of Lamb served with Red Onion Marmalade with a Rich Red Wine Jus.
 
Our first products were Spicy Pumpkin Chutney and Green Tomato Chutney, which were developed after a successful growing season left us with a glut of Pumpkins & Green Tomatoes.

We would love to grow more of our own produce but our small garden doesn’t leave us much room, especially as we have our Geese, Ducks & Hens free ranging who are rather partial to new vegetables, so we rely look to buy local produce from local business and growers as we believe in supporting local.
 
We have also had support from our family, friends and neighbours who have welcomed us in to there homes to pick there excess Fruit and Vegetables in exchanged for our products, which has created a wholesome community base for our range.

As our range is literally created, cooking, jarred, labelled and delivered by Mike, with me helping with Administration, Accounts and Website duties we decided to wholesale our products to local Farm Shops, Deli, Craft Shops, Garden Centres and any retail premises that sells our type of products, we can be found at the occasional local food festival, but most of the time mike is busy making, labelling or delivering.

Mike is always developing new Products for the range and we now have 32 different Chutneys, Preserves, Jams, Pickles and Marmalade in the total, with seasonal products always in development.
